<\/p>\n\nViktor Mr\u00e1z will make his GT2 debut at Monza, having only tested the KTM X-BOW GT2 two weeks ago in Brno alongside Ma\u0165o Homola. With the experience gained at the Masaryk Circuit, Mr\u00e1z is eager to take on the challenge at the legendary Italian track. \u201cCompared to Brno, the surface here is significantly better with great grip, so I\u2019m really looking forward to the weekend. After the first practice session, I feel good, and I believe we\u2019ll improve our times,\u201d Mr\u00e1z shared ahead of the qualifying day at Monza. <\/p>\n\n
He will be supported by Jan Krabec, who not only won the GT2 European Series title last year but also claimed a victory and a third-place finish in the opening round of this season at Paul Ricard. However, despite Krabec\u2019s past success at Monza, this year\u2019s conditions are different. \u201cThe track has a new surface and curbs, and after the first free practice, it\u2019s clear that it\u2019s much faster. The pace is incredible\u2014during free practice, we\u2019re already posting last year\u2019s qualifying times,\u201d Krabec commented. <\/p>\n\n
The team will focus on maximizing track time for Viktor Mr\u00e1z during the qualifying sessions. Mr\u00e1z, who previously raced in the ESET Cup with the KTM X-BOW GTX for CARIN Racing, will have to adjust to the GT2 specification, which has more power and is more demanding. \u201cThe GTX is milder and easier to manage with the throttle. The GT2, on the other hand, has significantly more power,\u201d explained Ma\u0165o Homola, Mr\u00e1z\u2019s teammate and coach, highlighting the key difference between the two specifications. <\/p>\n\n
RTR Projects has already scored points in two GT2 European Series events this season. Ma\u0165o Homola and Jan Krabec finished first and third in the opening round at Monza, while Homola and Petr Lisa secured a third-place finish at Spa-Francorchamps.

Looking ahead, the team plans to offer more drivers the opportunity to try the GT2 car this season. \u201cWe still have two more rounds at Monza in the GT2 European Series. We\u2019re planning to offer the chance to try out the GT2 in our colors to more drivers. Our goal is to show both experienced and rookie drivers that GT2 is an attractive and well-structured championship that allows them to grow and improve their results,\u201d concluded RTR Projects team leader Tom\u00e1\u0161 Fanta.
