Pedrosa has a wealth of racing experience that will help him ahead of his debut on four wheels in KTM colours. Since the end of his MotoGP career at the end of 2018, the Spaniard has been an important member of KTM’s Grand Prix motorcycle racing. As the team’s test rider, he plays a key role in the team’s success on the track. The 37-year-old still occasionally dons a racing suit and helmet at motorcycle Grand Prix events. Shortly before his guest appearance in the European Fanatec GT2 series, Pedrosa will actually race for KTM in the MotoGP race at Misano. <\/p>\n\n

The race weekend at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit is the fifth stop on the 2023 Fanatec GT2 European Series calendar. For teams and drivers racing the KTM X-BOW GT2, it represents the penultimate opportunity to score valuable championship points. KTM customer teams have a real chance to win the title in both classes. <\/p>\n\n

Jan Krabec (RTR Projects) and Klaus Angerhofer (True Racing by Reiter Engineering) are first and second in the Am category and after the last victory in Portimao it was they who enjoyed a champagne shower and consolidated their position at the top of the championship table. In the Pro-Am classification Nicolas Saelens and \u0160tefan Rosina (both True Racing by Reiter Engineering) are also in the running for the championship lead and are only three points behind the leader. Reinhard Kofler, the KTM factory rider who also holds a promising position in the championship, will make his debut for the KTM customer team MZR in Valencia together with teammate Martin Koch. The MZR team has already gained a lot of experience in other racing series in recent years. KTM will therefore be represented in Valencia with five cars in a strong field of drivers, making it a significant force in the European Fanatec GT2 series. <\/p>\n\n

Dani Pedrosa and his team-mates will be at the Ricard Tormo circuit from 15th to 17th September, with two 50-minute races scheduled for Saturday (4:55pm) and Sunday (9:55am). Fans can follow all the action via live streaming and live timing on the series’ official website<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n
