We wanted to prove that this car can compete even with GT3 cars. I\u2019m glad we achieved that,\u201d said team owner Tom\u00e1\u0161 Miniberger, pleased with the Saturday results.<\/p>\n\n<p>The KTM X-Bow GT2, which RTR Projects plans to enter in select Fanatec GT2 European Series events, showed promise on the nearly six-kilometer Slovakia Ring from Friday onward. The duo of Reinhard Kofler and Tom\u00e1\u0161 Miniberger secured the endurance pole position in the GTX class and a third overall qualifying spot with a lap time of 1:59.516.<br\/>On Saturday morning, Kofler raised the bar even higher by clocking a 1:58.536 in the sprint qualifying, making him the fastest among all GT cars. Only Miro Konopka in the Ligier LMP3 prototype posted a better time.    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/motormix.cz\/site\/assets\/files\/5050\/reinhard_kofler_ktm_1.1010x0-is.jpg\" width=\"1010\"\/><\/p>\n\n<p>Kofler\u2019s strong starting position translated into success during the sprint. He dominated not only the GTX class but also the overall GT category, finishing nearly 20 seconds ahead of Adam Konopka in a Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n GT3.   <\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cI think the team and I did a great job together. I\u2019m very satisfied,\u201d said Kofler post-race. The Austrian briefly led overall, even surpassing Miro Konopka in the Ligier LMP3 during the first two laps. However, he soon realized the prototype\u2019s superior performance and let Konopka pass to avoid compromising his own race.<br\/>\u201cI tried to keep Miro behind and leverage our car\u2019s strengths, but it quickly became clear that I couldn\u2019t fight him. I decided to let him go to avoid complicating our race,\u201d Kofler explained.    <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/motormix.cz\/site\/assets\/files\/5050\/reinhard_kofler_in_the_lead.1020x0-is.jpg\" width=\"1020\"\/><\/p>\n\n<p>The endurance race started similarly, with Kofler taking the overall lead right from the start and maintaining it throughout the first stint. Initially, he had to fend off attacks from Dennis Waszka in a BMW M6 GT3 but soon built a comfortable gap.<br\/>\u201cWe had a fantastic start. The car was incredible, and driving it was pure joy,\u201d Kofler said of the opening stint.    <\/p>\n\n<p>However, the race\u2019s strategic element came into play during the pit stops. RTR Projects faced a minor issue during refueling, which cost them time. Ultimately, Tom\u00e1\u0161 Miniberger brought the car home in second place in the GTX class and fourth overall.  <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/motormix.cz\/site\/assets\/files\/5050\/reinhard_kofler_tomas_miniberger_1.1251x0-is.jpg\" width=\"1251\"\/><\/p>\n\n<p>The third ESET Cup event concludes Sunday with the second sprint race at 14:20.
