<\/p>\n\nIn Saturday\u2019s sprint, Reinhard Kofler demonstrated the potential of the KTM X-Bow GT2, dominating both GT qualifying sessions and securing victory in the GTX class and overall GT standings. However, the race was far from straightforward. <\/p>\n\n
A collision at the start involving Kofler, Dennis Waszko, and Antal Zsig sent the Austrian driver into the gravel. The red flag allowed him to restart from pole, but his car sustained aerodynamic damage that impacted cornering. Despite this, Kofler persevered and claimed a commanding win. <\/p>\n\n
\u201cThe team did an amazing job repairing the car during the red flag. Driving with damaged aerodynamics wasn\u2019t easy, but that\u2019s motorsport,\u201d said Kofler. <\/p>\n\n
Kofler also held off a Ligier LMP3 driven by Miro Konopka for much of the race, only losing the lead in the final stages. \u201cWithout the damage, I think we could have kept him behind,\u201d Kofler added. <\/p>\n\n
The GT2 car led the first half of the endurance race with Kofler at the helm. After handing the car over to Tom\u00e1\u0161 Miniberger, a series of challenges arose, including a safety car restart and a collision with Adam Konopka. <\/p>\n\n
\u201cAfter the restart, I tried to pass slower cars, but I got hit, which made the car unstable. When I attempted an overtake, the car spun, and Adam Konopka hit me. He couldn\u2019t avoid it,\u201d explained Miniberger. The damage ended RTR Projects\u2019 hopes of competing in Sunday\u2019s sprint. <\/p>\n\n
“It all started shortly after the race restart, when I was trying to overtake slower cars. I got hit in turn 13 and from then on the car behaved strangely. When I tried to overtake in a place where overtaking is common, my car spun and I got hit by Adam Konopka. But he couldn’t do anything about it at that moment,” Miniberger recalls the incident that ultimately prevented the team from even starting the second sprint on Sunday. <\/p>\n\n
RTR Projects still celebrated a podium in the endurance race, with Petr Lisa and rookie Ond\u0159ej Rokos finishing third in the GTX class. Rokos, in his first-ever car race, was thrilled with the result. <\/p>\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an unbelievable feeling. We focused on finishing the race and avoiding damage, so third place is a miracle for me,\u201d said Rokos, praising Lisa for his mentorship. <\/p>\n\n

The pair shared the podium with other KTM X-Bow GTX teams, including winners Viktor Mr\u00e1z and Ma\u0165o Homola (Carin Racing) and runners-up Petr Koukola and Petr Majer (ORLEN Jan\u00edk Motorsport). <\/p>\n\n
The ESET Cup resumes on August 24-25 at Slovakia Ring, where RTR Projects will return with renewed determination. Their focus remains on refining the KTM X-Bow GT2 for the Fanatec GT2 European Series and continuing to nurture talent like Rokos. <\/p>\n\n
