However, Fanta remains optimistic following the Thursday tests, praising how quickly both drivers adapted to the new circuit, and in Sovi\u010dka\u2019s case, to new equipment. The team\u2019s newest driver only tested the car for the first time last week during pre-season sessions in Brno and quickly agreed to race at Oschersleben. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cHe\u2019s getting to know the car on a track that\u2019s completely new to him\u2014and far from easy. I must tip my hat to him; he handled everything surprisingly well. Today, he made enormous progress as a driver. After Petr worked with him, he now understands the car and its strengths much better. He knows what to do and how to handle it. Every time he got out of the car, he was thrilled. It was a morale boost for us as a team,\u201d Fanta said, praising the newcomer.<\/p>\n\n

For Sovi\u010dka, who has previously competed in the Carbonia Cup with a Corvette Z06 GT, adapting to the conceptually different X-Bow GTX has been made easier with guidance from the experienced Petr Lisa. Lisa has raced in numerous events with RTR Projects, including their victorious 24-hour race in Barcelona four years ago. He also took part in spring tests in Spain and Portugal and acknowledges the challenges ahead at Oschersleben. <\/p>\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a narrow, almost kart-like track where overtaking will be incredibly tough. Unless someone makes a clear mistake, it\u2019ll be a real challenge. It\u2019s also a dangerous circuit, with barriers quite close to the track. Even one small error could cause big problems,\u201d he explained.Despite this, Lisa is pleased with the team\u2019s progress during the Thursday tests. \u201cWe\u2019ve fine-tuned the setup, and it\u2019s come together well. I\u2019d say we\u2019re ready for Saturday. Now we\u2019ll focus on the racing line and tyres. Of course, new tyres will change things, but overall, we\u2019ve got a solid amount of testing under our belt,\u201d he concluded. <\/p>\n\n
