The car was perfect, and it was a truly fantastic weekend,\u201d he added enthusiastically. <\/p>\n\n
In the GTX class, Honz\u00edk and Mr\u00e1z were beaten only by Adam Konopka in Brno. The Slovak driver competed in an open Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n GT3 Evo II and, just as he had at Slovakia Ring in late August, underlined his status as the class favourite. He even made it onto the overall podium, finishing third. <\/p>\n\n
\u201cWe set ourselves realistic goals, and I\u2019m pleased that we managed to achieve them,\u201d added Tom\u00e1\u0161 Fanta. \u201cOur aim was not to push too hard and, above all, to get through the opening laps of the race. There was a lot of fighting going on during that phase,\u201d Fanta explained, outlining the team\u2019s strategy. He also praised the discipline shown by the packed field. \u201cThe safety car didn\u2019t come out even once. There were no yellow flags, no contact, nothing. It was a really clean and well-driven race from everyone,\u201d he highlighted. <\/p>\n\n
For Tom\u00e1\u0161 Miniberger and Daniel Skalick\u00fd, who finished seventh overall, it was their third podium finish of the season in the GTX class. The experienced pairing had achieved the same result at Most in July and again at Slovakia Ring in August. They also hold third place in the standings heading into the final race of the season, which will take place at Hungaroring in Hungary on 23\u201325 October. <\/p>\n\n
Tom\u00e1\u0161 Fanta insists that, despite already having the title secured, RTR projects will approach the final event of the season with the same commitment they have shown throughout the year. \u201cWe\u2019ll also use it as a test. Hungaroring will be part of the GT2 European Series calendar in 2027, so we want to be prepared,\u201d Fanta says. <\/p>\n\n RTR projects will now turn its attention back to the GT2 European Series. The team will head to the penultimate round of the season in Zandvoort, Netherlands, next weekend, with plenty still at stake.
